We’ve barely begun to witness the fallout of Terry “Hulk Hogan” Bollea’s racist remarks making their way public, the WWE already having severed all ties to the iconic wrestler. So while said severance understandably pulls Hogan off as a judge for WWE reality competition Tough Enough, the series will endure by replacing him.
TMZ reporters spoke with WWE Superstar, Darren Young (who's real name is Fredrick Douglas "Fred" Rosser) came out to the world as a gay wrestler. So far, all the responses from other WWE Superstars (like John Cena) have been positive. This is a huge stepping stone as Rosser is the first ever active roster wrestler to admit to being gay while currently employed to a major brand.
WWE went big for WrestleMania 29 this year, and it paid off handsomely. WrestleMania 29 was the highest grossing event in the history of the WWE, grossing in excess of $72 million.
