There is an awesome program based out of California that recently teamed up with the Casper Humane Society. That program is Tails That Teach.

Their mission:

to save the lives of animals, while changing the lives of children.

Tails That Teach is a non-profit organization that according their official Facebook page: uniquely bridges the connection between animals and people; teaching children life lessons of kindness, compassion, and empathy.

They recently posted some awesome photos of kids reading to animals at the Casper Humane Society for their Tales With Tails program along with the following message:

Shelter reading programs are a terrific way to socialize and provide much needed attention to shelter animals while encouraging children to read without judgement. Thank you to another fantastic partner in helping us change lives, the Casper Humane Society Tales with Tails reading program.
