Judge Sentences Teen for Involvement in Casper Drive-By Shooting

A teenager involved in a drive-by shooting in May will attend boot camp in lieu of a prison sentence.

Quincy P. Brow was 17 at the time of the shooting.

Natrona County District Court Judge Daniel Forgey sentenced  Brow to five to seven years in prison for the May shooting. However, if Brow completes the Wyoming boot camp program, Forgey will revisit that sentence.

Brow was also ordered to pay $2,000 in restitution for damage caused to the home and a vehicle parked outside.

In July, Brow pleaded guilty to a single count of conspiracy to commit aggravated assault and one count of possessing cocaine in a felony amount.

Brow is one of five defendants who were arrested following a May 19 drive-by shooting at a house in Paradise Valley. No one was home at the time and no injuries were reported, though several bullet holes were found in the home and two parked vehicles.

"Detectives learned that the shooting was the culmination of a month-long feud between the... suspects and a male who lived at that residence," an arrest affidavit states.

No one was injured in the shooting.

During Tuesday's sentencing hearing, Brow apologized for his actions and said he realizes the risk he put the family at. Nobody was inside the home when the shooting happened.

Assistant Natrona County District Attorney Ava Bell called the boot camp sentence "a last shock" for Brow.

Despite being charged and convicted as an adult, Brow is a minor and the Casper Police Department declined to release his booking photo.
