The Wyoming Cowboys dropped to 3-2 on the year as they were soundly defeated by Texas State on Saturday night in San Marcos 42-21. The game featured a 3 and half hour rain and lightning delay and the Bobcats really took it to the Cowboys once the game resumed. Texas State accumulated 256 yards rushing while the Cowboys ran the ball for just 64 yards. Quarterback Brett Smith was 25-48 for 292 yards with 1 touchdown but also endured 3 sacks. U-W will have this week off and will resume play October 12th hosting New Mexico.
