If a new thing shared by The Today Show is correct, we should all pack up and move to Colorado since 2 of their top 3 cities in America to live in are there. SPOILER ALERT: We're not doing this.

This new national ranking was based on a study by US News and World Report. The Today Show shared it and revealed that Denver is the 2nd best city to live in across America followed by Colorado Springs at #3. No Wyoming cities made the top 20. (*sad face*)

Here's something funny that I noticed about this new "best of" list. They don't really say why they chose the cities as a best place to live. They share a lot of stats about Denver, but that's about it. Here's what US News and World Report said about how a city makes the ranking:

To make the top of the list, a place had to have good value, be a desirable place to live, have a strong job market and a high quality of life.

As far as big cities go, I'm fine with Denver. BUT, have you looked at the cost of living there? I have friends that work in Denver and many have to commute a LONG WAY because it's too expensive to live in the city. For me, that would ding it big time as a "best place to live".

I have lived in Colorado Springs and while it's beautiful with Pikes Peak and Garden of the Gods nearby, crime is terrible there. Don't even get me started about how you need to use I-25 to get just about anywhere and what that involves. Yikes.

I say all of this to say that we won't be packing our bags to head to Colorado's big cities no matter how high they end up on these national lists. No thank you.
