A tornado watch is in effect for parts of Wyoming, Nebraska and Colorado.

In Wyoming, the watch includes Albany, Converse, Goshen, Laramie, Niobrara and Platte counties.

The five Nebraska counties included are Banner, Box Butte, Dawes, Scotts Bluff and Sioux. The entire northeastern corner of Colorado, including Denver and Fort Collins, are under a tornado watch as well.

The tornado watch is in effect until 10 p.m.

Meanwhile, much of Wyoming including Casper is under a severe thunderstorm watch until 10 p.m. The watch includes Campbell, Crook, Fremont, Hot Springs, Johnson, Natrona, Washakie and Weston Counties.

Severe thunderstorm warnings have been issued in several areas of Wyoming, including Hot Springs County, Johnson County, Weston County, Natrona County, and parts of Platte and Albany counties.

The National Weather Service in Riverton earlier Wednesday warned of the potential for numerous severe thunderstorms in the Casper area.
