Wheatland Drops Glenrock in 2A Championship

The Glenrock Herders run to the state championship came to a halt on Friday afternoon as they were beaten by Wheatland 22-8 at War Memorial Stadium in Laramie. The Herders had an impressive drive to star the game capped by a 1 yard run for touchdown by Garrett Schwindt but Wheatland controlled the game from the 2nd quarter on. Bulldog quarterback Daniel Chesser threw for one touchdown and ran for another giving Wheatland their first state title since 1984. Glenrock finished the season at 7-3
