Say What?

What up people?  Is anybody besides me pumped for the start of college and pro football?  Woot!  Woot!  Unfortunately Chad Johnson and T.O. don’t look to be playing for anyone, so far, this year.  Teams have made their initial cut and have one to go before we find out who for-sure makes the roster.

I have already been surprised; Seattle not going with Matt Flynn was kind of startling but ole Pete Carroll seems to believe in the young kid.  The Jets not getting into the end zone has been pretty sad.  Rex is saying that is all part of his plan.  He is not showing the complete package or the wildcat.

Vince Young got cut, no surprise to me.  He was much better in Texas.  Denver seems to be progressing along nicely, don’t hear about too many injuries coming out of that camp.  Packers have had to make some adjustments already, but I am confident that Dom Capers will find a way for that defense to fit.

I am looking forward to see how and if Penn State does this year given all of the controversy and turmoil to their program.  This Saturday, the Pokes go down to Texas to whip some butt!  Go Pokes!

The replacement refs; where do you stand?  I think they will do just fine.  Anytime you deal with sudden change, people have to adjust, so here we are.  Doesn’t sound like the NFL Referees Association and the NFL is going to come to any kind of terms before the beginning of the regular season, so let’s just let the games begin, shall we?

I thought that Dana White, President of the UFC, made a very valid point, last week after last weekend’s card had to be cancelled.  It was the first time that had ever happened and Dana is not pleased.  He was expecting one of the fighters to step up and take the fight.  Bottom line is that there were other guys on that card other than the main event and they too have put in long hours and money to train and now they don’t even get the chance to earn it.  Pretty selfish and sad and Dana assured listeners that we would never see that happen again.  I hope not.  Unfortunately fortune and fame sometimes skews a person’s perspective.   Until next week, keep it real!
