UPDATE: The National Weather Service In Riverton has now issued a Winter Weather Advisory for this storm.  Expect total snow accumulations of two to four inches with locally higher amounts south of Casper, along with winds gusting as high as  35 mph.

Winter weather is headed toward Natrona County, prompting the National Weather Service in Riverton to issue a Special Weather Statement. From Friday night (November 23rd) through Saturday night, we can expect light snow, turning moderate to heavy at times, with gusty winds.

NWS predicts accumulations of two to four inches, with four to eight inches on Casper Mountain. North to northwest winds will just up to 30 to 35 miles per hours. Areas impacted in this statement include Casper, Buffalo, and Kaycee.

Officials say to plan on slippery road conditions, and patchy blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility.
