The Wyoming Cowboy basketball team with a road game tonight at UC Santa Barbara. The Cowboys are 6-0 after a 63-49 win over Cal Bakersfield on Saturday night. The Pokes held Bakersfield to just 27 percent shooting from the field. UW shot 45 percent from the floor. Santa Barbara is 2-3 on the year and one of their leaders is former Gillette standout Taran Brown who is averaging 15 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists a game for the Gauchos, as a red shirt freshman. The Casper College T-Birds blasted Western Nebraska Tuesday night 95-74 in Scottsbluff. It was a rare win for the Birds at the Cougar Palace and an impressive one to boot. Remi Debo led the T-Birds in scoring with 31 points, with 26 of those in the first half. Dominique Lee added 22 points and 12 rebounds. Casper College will be participating in a tournament this Friday and Saturday  in Sterling, Colorado. The T-Birds will play North Platte, Nebraska Friday night and the host Northeastern JC Saturday afternoon. Both games from Sterling can be heard on AM 1400 ESPN with Marcus Hayden and Frank Gambino.

The Wyoming Cowgirls are on the road tonight at the University of Colorado. Both teams are 4-0 on the season. The Cowgirls posted 2 big road wins this weekend, defeating Seton Hall and Pepperdine, giving Head Coach Joe Legerski his 176th win at UW, putting him first on the school's all-time wins by a coach of women's basketball. Tip-off tonight from Boulder will be at 7:00pm.
