Former  Casper player Seth Smith had 2 doubles in help lead the Oakland A's beat the Colorado Rockies 8-5 Tuesday at Coors Field. Brandon Moss powered the A's attack with 2 home runs. These two teams continue interleague action tonight in Denver. Meanwhile off the field, another former Casper player is heading for another team. The Rockies announced that pitcher Esmail Rogers was traded to Cleveland for cash. Rogers was 0-2 with an ERA of over 8 in 23 appearances this season.

In American Legion baseball, the Casper Oilers shutout Riverton 21-0 at Lansing Field Tuesday afternoon. Tanner Eastland led the Casper hit parade with 4 RBI's. Dan Reese also drove in 4 runs. The Oilers will be in a tournament in Missoula, Montana this weekend.

The College National Finals Rodeo rolled along Tuesday with their longest day for cowboys and cowgirls. The slack round in the morning and the first evening session. For the Casper College contingent, Blaine Phillips posted a 10 and 8 in the tie down roping. That was about 3 seconds behind the leader. In the Women's Goat Tying, Talea Sund with a no time. Zach Phillips dusted himself off  to post a 78.5 in the Bareback which was the 2nd best score of the session. Action continues tonight at the Casper Events Center.

Game-1 of the NBA Finals went to Oklahoma City as they beat Miami 105-94. The Heat played a great first half and led by as many as 13 points, but couldn't hold the lead in the second half. Kevin Durant led Oklahoma City's comeback  with 17 of his game high 34-points in the fourth quarter. LeBron James led the Heat with 30 points, but was held to just 5 points in the fourth quarter. Game-2 is Thursday night back in Oklahoma City.
