The NFL Divisional Playoffs are set for this weekend. In the AFC, Baltimore stifled Indianapolis 24-9. Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis who announced his retirement last week after 17-years in the NFL played his last game at home, made a big impact after being out since mid-October with an arm injury. Lewis had 13 tackles, 9 solo in helping the Ravens. Baltimore receiver Anquan Boldin had 145 yards receiving including a touchdown. Baltimore now travels to Denver Saturday afternoon. The other AFC match up has Houston at New England on Sunday.

In the NFC, Seattle won their first road playoff game in 30 years beating Washington 24-14. Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch ran for 131 yards and a touchdown. Redskin quarterback Robert Griffin III left the game with a knee injury in the 4th quarter and wasn't exactly effective in the contest. So Seattle will be at Atlanta on Sunday with Green Bay at San Francisco on Saturday night.

The Denver Nuggets picked up a road win Sunday night over the Los Angeles Lakers 112-105. Ty Lawson led the Nuggets with 21 points, and Danilo Gallinari with 20. The Nuggets have now won 5 of 7 and the Lakers have lost 4 of 5.

There will be hockey after all as the NHL owners and player union agreed in principal to a 10-year deal. The players share of revenue will drop to from 57 percent to 50 percent. The salary cap for this season will be $70.2  million but will drop to $64.3 million next season. The salary cap floor will be $44 million. The season will last either 48 or 50 games depending on the start which should be sometime next week.
