The Casper Oilers have advanced to the Wyoming State American Legion Baseball Tournament with two come from behind wins Saturday in the North Division Tournament in Gillette. The Oilers came back from a 4-1 deficit to Powell to eliminate the Pioneers 13-12 Saturday morning.

Then the Oilers trailed again this time in the third place game to Douglas 10-2 after two innings. But Casper would come back and outscore Douglas 10-4 in the last three innings to win in a slug-fest 26-18.  The Oilers will play Wheatland in the opening game of the state tournament Wednesday at 9:30am in Cheyenne.

The Casper Ghosts lost again last night as Missoula beat the Ghosts 7-4 to sweep the Ghosts in the four game series. With the loss the Ghosts are 9-24 and head to Helena for a three game series starting tonight. Game time at 7:05pm and you can hear that on AM 1400 ESPN.

The Colorado Rockies lost to the Arizona Diamondbacks 7-0 Sunday afternoon. Justin Upton of the D-Backs went 4 for 4 with two doubles, a triple and 3-RBI's. Colorado starter Ubaldo Jimenez took the loss and dropped his record to 6-9. It might of been Jimenez's last start in a Rockie uniform. He's reportedly available for the right offer before the July 31st non waiver trade deadline. The Rockies continue their nine-game road trip tonight in Los Angeles.
