Regular Refs Return, Baltimore Over Cleveland 23-16 Daily Sports Upate

In the NFL, Baltimore beat Cleveland 23-16 in Thursday Night Football. But the big news of that game, the regular referees returned after their 3 week lockout by the NFL. And no real big issues came up during the game. On Sunday, the Denver Broncos will host the Oakland Raiders. Both teams come in at 1-2. The Broncos are coming off back to back losses to Atlanta and Houston.

In Major League Baseball, the Colorado Rockies closed out their home schedule for the year with a sweep of the Chicago Cubs with a 7-5 win Thursday afternoon at Coors Field. Former Casper player Jordan Pacheco hit a 3 run homer. The Rockies go to Los Angeles for a weekend series.

The Casper College volleyball team came away with a big win Thursday night beating Central Wyoming of Riverton in 3 straight at the Erickson Gym. The T-Birds with wins of 25-22, 27-25 and 25-17 to go 15-9 on the season. Coming into the match  CWC was ranked 13th in the country. Casper College will be at home next Thursday night when they meet Sheridan College.
