State Volleyball Begins On Thursday In Casper

The 2011 Wyoming High School Volleyball Tournament begins Thursday at the Casper Events Center. Matches begin at 3pm.

Three of the four state champions from last return to this years tournaments. Kelly Walsh in 4A, Cody in 3A and Kaycee in 1A. There will be a new champion in 2A as Rocky Mountain did not qualify. Matches begin at 3pm  on four courts at the Events Center.

Thursday's first round:

4A:

3pm:  Sheridan  vs  Riverton

4:30pm:  Gillette  vs  Evanston

6:00pm:  Laramie  vs  Rock Springs

7:30pm:  Cheyenne East  vs  Kelly Walsh

3A:

3:00pm:  Douglas  vs  Pinedale

4:30pm:  Wheatland  vs  Lander

6:00pm:  Glenrock  vs  Star Valley

7:30pm:  Torrington  vs  Cody

2A:

3:00pm:  Wright  vs  Greybull

4:30pm:  Pine Bluffs  vs  Shoshoni

6:00pm:  Big Horn  vs  Thermopolis

7:30pm:  Southeast  vs  Lovell

1A:

3:00pm:  Kaycee  vs  Hanna

4:30pm:  Hulett  vs  Snake River

6:00pm:  Guernsey  vs  Cokeville

7:30pm:  Arvada-Clearmont  vs  Burlington

Consolation Rounds on Friday afternoon followed by the Semifinals.

Finals will be held Saturday.
