The Casper Oilers won their opening game in the North District American Legion Baseball Tournament Thursday afternoon defeating Cody 12-2 in seven innnings. The Oilers advance to the semi-finals tonight when they play the host team Gillette at 7:00pm.

American Legion Baseball teams across the state begin post season action today. The Casper Oilers will play in the North District Tournament in Gillette.

The Casper Ghosts won their first game of the season with a 4-1 win over the Orem Owlz last night in Orem. The Ghosts go for the spilt in the opening four game series  tonight at 7:05pm. Again that game on AM 1400 ESPN and am1400espn.com.

The Casper Oilers American Legion Baseball team went 1-2 in the opening games of the 2011 season in their Snowball Series at Mike Lansing Field. The Oilers spilt on Saturday losing to Cheyenne 7-2 and beating Jackson 20-3. Casper lost to Gillette Sunday 20-7. Cheyenne Post 6 is the two-time defending state champions and winner of nine of the last ten state tournaments.
