Cowboy Football Adds Three New Assistants and Shifts Duties
University of Wyoming head football coach Dave Christensen announced Wednesday new coaching and administrative responsibilities for members of his football staff, including the official hiring of three new assistant coaches. One of the key changes is that Christensen will call the plays on game day for the Pokes.
Future Cowboy Football Schedules Starting to Take Shape
The Mountain West Conference announced conference football match-ups for the 2013-16 seasons Tuesday. In 2013, the Wyoming Cowboys will, for the second consecutive year, host arch-rival Colorado State in War Memorial Stadium for the annual “Border War”. Wyoming’s other conference home games in 2013 will include: Fresno State, Hawai’i and New Mexico. The Cowboys Mountain West road trips this coming season will take them to: Air Force, Boise State, San Jose State and Utah State. Dates of games, game times and television coverage will be announced in the weeks to come.
Cowboy Basketball Snaps Skid in 61-53 Win at CSU Bakersfield
Larry Nance Jr. scored 17 points and grabbed a career-high 15 rebounds, and Derek Cooke Jr. added a career-high tying 12 points and a career-high 13 rebounds, as the Wyoming Cowboys picked up a 61-53 win at CSU Bakersfield Wednesday night in California. The Pokes led wire-to-wire to break their four-game losing streak, and beat the Roadrunners for a second time this season.

For the second time this season, Wyoming forward Kayla Woodward earned Mountain West Women’s Basketball Player of the Week honors for games played from Jan. 28-Feb. 3, 2013. It is the fourth honor of her MW career.
Rams Too Much For Cowboys in 65-46 Loss
Despite a career-high 26 points from senior guard Derrious Gilmore, the Wyoming Cowboys couldn't overcome another tough shooting night. They lost at rival Colorado State, 65-46, Saturday night in Mountain West Conference action at Moby Arena. Wyoming shot 29 percent from the field and dropped their fourth straight game, as they reached the halfway point of conference play.
Cowgirls Dominate in Road Victory at Air Force, 86-48
Behind a career high 27 points from Kaitlyn Mileto, the Wyoming Cowgirl basketball team earned their first conference road win, 86-48, over the Air Force Falcons Saturday afternoon in Colorado Springs. A 14-0 run in the first half put the Cowgirls in control, as they won their second straight.
Cowboy Football Adds Five More Players at Mid-Year
University of Wyoming head football coach Dave Christensen announced Thursday the addition of five new mid-year scholarship players to the program. The five new Cowboys include two student-athletes who graduated early from high school to enroll at UW for the 2013 spring semester and three junior-college transfers. They bring Wyoming’s total of mid-year transfers to nine. Four mid-year transfers were early announced on December 19, 2012. The five new players include two defensive lineman, a linebacker, a tight end and a running back.

The Mountain West Conference and San Diego State today jointly announced, effective immediately, San Diego State will remain a member of the Mountain West in all sports.
