The second ranked  Natrona Mustangs got rolling in the second half led by Josh Flanigan in defeating top ranked Sheridan Friday night at Cheney Alumni Field 20-6. Natrona was held to just 73 yards of offense in the first half came back with 222 yards and two Flanigan touchdowns in the fourth quarter for the win.

Natrona also had a big defensive stop at the end of the first half when they stopped Sheridan's all-state running back Jordan Roberts twice inside the one yard  in the last 13 seconds and took a 3-0 lead at halftime on a Taylor King 23 yard field. The Broncs would tie the contest in the third with a 52-yard field goal from Riley Ryan. But the Mustangs would have a big fourth quarter with 17 points. It started with King's second field goal of 42-yards at 11:28. Then Flanigan's first TD of one yard and the PAT would give Natrona a 13-3 lead. Ryan's seond field goal with 5:16 remaining would get the Broncs within seven at 13-6. But the Mustangs would close out the scoring with Flanigan's second TD of 10 yards. Flanigan would end up with 205 yards on 24 carries. Cody Vollmar would rush 11 times for 86 yards. Natrona would total 290 on the ground and 295 total. Roberts would end up with 28 carries for the Broncs for 132 yards. Natrona also picked off three Kevin Bakkehaug passes. Vollmar, Logan Jones and Austin Ducello had INT's for the Mustangs.

In other 4A football from Friday night, Evanston defeated Kelly Walsh 27-14,  Cheyenne East running past Laramie 29-6. Elsewhere, Gillette over Rock Springs 46-7 and Cheyenne East thumping Cheyenne South 63-0. In 3A, Green River made a big return as they stopped Douglas' 30-game win streak 32-15.
