Casper Athletes Fare Well at State Indoor Track Meet
The Casper high schools turned in some very respectable performances at the State Indoor track meet in Gillette over the weekend. The Natrona girls took 4th thanks to a great effort from Hannah Dunbar who took 2nd in the 200 meter dash, 4th in the 400. 2nd in the triple jump and 4th in the long jump. Natrona's Molly Olson, who won all 3 of the outdoor distance races at the State Meet last May, took 5th in the 800, 4th in the 1600 and 3rd in the 3200. The Kelly Walsh girls took 9th with Grace Czellecz taking 2nd in the 55 meter dash. Maddison Dedic of the Lady Trojans placed 2nd in the shot-put.
On the boys side, Kelly Walsh's Lamont Frisby, who is the defending 4A outdoor state champion in the 100 and the 200, took first at the state indoor meet in the 55 and the 200. Cage McComb of the Trojans took 3rd in the 55 hurdles and the team earned a 1st place finish in the 4x200 meter relay. Kelly Walsh ended up taking 5th. The Natrona boys placed 9th as distance runner Garrett Condelario took 5th in the 800, 9th in the 1600 and 2nd in the 3200.
