Casper College Hosts Pizza Hut Invitational-Daily Sports Update

Casper College Men's and Women's basketball teams are hosting the Annual Pizza Hut Invitational Tournament through Saturday. On Thursday night, the T-Bird women defeated Snow College of Utah 58-38. Shelby Stewart (Glenrock) led Casper with 17 points hitting 5 of 6 3-pointers. The T-Birds will play Eastern Utah at 5:30pm. The T-Bird men will take on Salt Lake Community College at 7:30pm tonight. The Birds are 2-1 on the year. Both the men and women will also play tomorrow night as well. All four Casper College games this weekend we'll have for you on AM 1400 ESPN.

Casper College Volleyball team dropped their opening match in the National JUCO Volleyball Tournament in West Plains, Missouri on Thursday to top ranked San Jacinto, Texas, 3 games to none. Scores were 25-13, 25-13 and 25-19. The T-Birds drop into the consolation round today with a loser-out match against Redlands, Oklahoma at 11:00am.

The Wyoming Cowboys beat South Dakota Thursday night at the AA in Laramie 71-51. The Pokes held South Dakota to just 30 percent shooting from the field. Wyoming was led in scoring by Luke Martinez with 21 points. Leonard Washington chipped in with 17 points and 11 rebounds. The Cowboys will play Southern University tonight at the AA at 8:00pm on AM 1030 KTWO. It will be a doubleheader tonight at the AA as the Cowgirls will host Denver University. Wyoming is 1-0 after beating  Idaho last Friday, 86-53.

The Wyoming Cowboy Football team will have their final road game this Saturday afternoon when they'll be at UNLV. The Cowboys are 3-7 and winners of 2 in a row. UNLV is 2-9 on the year. Kickoff is at 2:00pm from Las Vegas and on AM 1030 KTWO.
