The Casper women's basketball team won their first game in the National Junior College Tournament, defeating John A. Logan College from Illinois on Wednesday afternoon 63-51. The T-Birds advance in the consolation round in Salina Kansas to the third round.

It was night and day for the T-Birds on Wednesday compared to their opening tournament loss to Grayson College of Texas on Tuesday morning, 65-41. The T-Birds were 10 of 30 from behind the arc on Wednesday compared to 2 of 19 on Tuesday. Jasmine Belin had 13 points to lead Casper. Rosalie Cutrie had 11 and Rece Hudlin with a double-double, 10 points and 10 rebounds. The T-Birds take today off and then play on Friday morning at 11 when they play either Cloud County Kansas or Wallace Alabama.
