The Casper College Women basketball team will put their 7-0 record to the test tonight when they play Defending National Champions North Idaho in Coeur D' Alene. The T-Birds are ranked 5th in this week's national poll.

The T-Birds will be in Spokane, Washington Friday night to play Spokane CC, and then back to Coeur D' Alene Saturday for a rematch with North Idaho. Casper College will return home Wednesday for a doubleheader with the men as they host Western Wyoming of Rock Springs.

The T-Bird men travel to Sterling, Colorado this weekend for a couple of games. The Birds (5-2) will play NJC on Friday night at 7:30pm and North Platte on Saturday afternoon at 3:30pm. Both T-Bird games on AM 1400 ESPN.

The Wyoming Cowboys trounced Utah Valley 74-41 Wednesday night at the AA in Laramie. Utah Valley managed just 17 points in the first half and went 1-18 from 3-point land. The Cowboys (7-1) shot 48 percent from the floor, but were 6 of 24 for 3-pointers. Leonard Washington had 14 points with Paco Cruz chipping in with 11. The Pokes will host Bradley University on Saturday night.

The Casper high schools open up the baskeball season today in Cheyenne. Both boys and girls teams from NC and KW will be playing area teams through the weekend. AM 1400 ESPN will be carry Natrona and Kelly Walsh boys games this winter starting on Friday and Saturday Dec. 16-17 when the Mustangs and Trojans travel to Billings. Both of the games will be from Billings West with Nationa's game Friday night the 16th and Kelly Walsh's game Saturday the 17th at 3:00pm.
