The Colorado Rockies defeated the Chicago Cubs 10-5 in a rain shortened game at Coors Field on Tuesday night. DJ Lemahieu had 3 hits to lead the Rockies. Former Casper player Wilin Rosario hit his 27th home run of the season. The Rockies holding at 94 losses, one shy of the dubious franchise record. The Cubs, 5 losses away from their first 100 loss season since 1966.

In the NFL, Denver Bronco Linebacker Joe Mays was suspended for one game and fined $50,000 for a hit on Houston quarterback Matt Schaub last Sunday in the Broncos 31-25 loss to the Texans. Schaub lost part of his earlope when his helmet came flying off after the hit. Mays a 5th year player out of North Dakota State University can appeal the suspension and will be reinstated on Monday.

The Prep Game of the Week has top ranked Natrona hosting 3rd ranked Cheyenne East. The Mustangs (5-0) are coming off a Oil Bowl win over cross-town rival Kelly Walsh 51-0 on Saturday night. The Thunderbirds (4-1) beat Cheyenne South 58-0. Kickoff is at 7:00pm with the pregame show at 6:45 on AM 1400 ESPN. Kelly Walsh travels to Rock Springs Friday night to play the Tigers. The Trojans are 2-3 and the Tigers are 1-4 after a 41-21 loss to Sheridan last Friday night.
