The Wyoming Cowgirls are alone at the top of the Mountain West Conference standings right now.

The Cowgirls are currently 14-5 overall and 7-1 in conference games after knocking off San Jose State last Saturday in Laramie.

Wyoming has two key conference games this week playing Wednesday against Colorado State and Saturday against Fresno State. The Rams and Lady Bulldogs are fourth and fifth in the conference, respectively.

The latest women's NCAA Tournament projection as done by ESPN.com's Charlie Creme features Wyoming as the Mountain West's representative in the big dance.

Likely, the only Mountain West team to make the tournament will ultimately be the winner of the Mountain West Tournament in Las Vegas this March, but the Cowgirls are the early favorite.

Creme projects Wyoming as a 14 seed and opening against UCLA in Los Angeles.
