Cowgirls Qualify for WNIT
The Wyoming Cowgirl basketball will once again be in the WNIT, hosting Seattle University on Thursday night in Laramie. UW comes into the tournament with a record of 21-9 after a first round loss in the Mountain West Tournament in Las Vegas to Fresno State. That was their first defeat since leading scorer Liv Roberts was lost for the season with a knee injury. Seattle was an automatic qualifier for the WNIT from the WAC and the Redhawks sit at 15-17 on the year. Wyoming last played in the WNIT back in 2013, losing to Northern Colorado 71-63. The Cowgirls won the WNIT back in 2007 and made it to the 3rd round in 2010 and 2011. The winner of the Wyoming/Seattle game will play the winner of the BYU/Washington State match-up
