The Wyoming Cowgirl basketball team improved to 2-0 with a 73-70 win over Denver University on Tueaday night in Denver. Kaylee Hoffman turned out to be the hero with a 3 pointer with 5 seconds to go to give the Cowgirls the lead for good. U-W overcame a poor shooting effort in the first half, hitting just 33% of their shots. But the Cowgirls made some hay at the free throw line, hitting 22 of 29. Fallon Lewis led the way with 17 points. Chelan Landry chipped in 14 and Kayla Woodward added 11. The Cowgirls will host Montana State on Friday in Laramie.
