Former Post Six Great Brandon Nimmo Spends 9/11 With New York City Firefighters [Photos]

Former Cheyenne Post Six great, now New York Met, Brandon Nimmo had the opportunity to spend the September 11 anniversary with some New York City heroes.

Nimmo posted a tribute to the firefighters he met on his Facebook and Twitter pages.

Incredibly Honored to have spent time with New York's finest, listening to their stories, paying tribute to their fallen brothers and sisters and ultimately, showing these true heroes so much love, respect and thanks. May those whom were lost, families forever changed, and the brave men and women who serve our country each day never be forgotten. #9/11#WeWillNeverForget

Nimmo has played 51 games for the Mets so far in 2017, he's currently batting .282 and has belted three home runs.
