The Casper Ghosts have lost their first two games of the current seven game road trip.  The Ghosts were on the short end of a 7-6 decision to the Great Falls Voyagers Tuesday night in Pioneer League action.

The Ghosts scored four runs in the fifth inning, but the Voyagers pushed across two in the bottom of the eighth inning to hold on for the win. Francisco Sosa had a double and a triple for the Ghosts who have now lost 9 of their last 11 and fall below .500 for the first time here in the second half of the season at 11-12. The Ghosts wrap up the series with the Voyagers tonight at 7:05pm on AM 1400 ESPN. Casper will be in Billings starting Thursday night for a four game series with the Mustangs.

The Colorado Rockies are on a mini roll. The Rockies collected their fourth straight win last night downing the Houston Astros 8-6 at Coors Field. Former Casper players Seth Smith and Jonathan Herrera each hit homers. It's the Rockies first four game winning streak since the middle of June.

High school prep football begins this Friday night. The Prep Game of the Week is back with the first two games on AM 1030 KTWO. This Friday night Casper Kelly Walsh will host Cheyenne East. Pregame show at 6:45 with kickoff at 7:00pm. And on Friday Sept. 2nd defending 4A champion Casper Natrona will host Sheridan.

The junior college volleyball season tips off this weekend as Casper College travels to Twin Falls Idaho for a big tournament. Southern Idaho, North Idaho, Salt Lake, Snow College and Miami Dade, all nationally ranked teams will test the Lady T-Birds. The Thunderbirds roster this season has 10 freshmen and four sophomores.
