Giants Give Rockies 90th Loss, 7-1-Daily Sports Update [AUDIO]

The Colorado Rockies lost for the 90th time this season, Wednesday night 7-1 to the San Francisco Giants. Giants starting pitcher Matt Cain threw 8 strong innings and earned his 15th win of the year, a career high.

With the win the Giants magic number to win the National League West Division is 5. The Rockies and Giants wrap up their series this afternoon.

The Wyoming Cowboys take on the Idaho Vandals this Saturday afternoon in Moscow, Idaho. Both teams are still searching for their first win. The Pokes (0-3) lost to Cal Poly 24-22 in Laramie on Saturday. The Vandals (0-3) lost to 2nd ranked LSU. Kickoff is at 3:00pm with the pregame show at 2:00pm on AM 1030 KTWO.

The 48th Annual Oil Bowl football game with Kelly Walsh hosting Natrona will be this Saturday night. The 5th ranked Trojans (2-2) are coming off a 41-21 loss to 2nd ranked Gillette (4-0) Friday. Top ranked Natrona (4-0) had no trouble with Rock Springs Friday night 58-7. Kickoff is at 6:00pm with the pregame show at 5:45pm on AM 1400 ESPN from Harry Geldein Stadium. The game was moved to Saturday as Natrona Head Coach Steve Harshman is being inducted into the Black Hills State University Athletic Hall of Fame on Friday night.
