Hazardous Driving Conditions Expected Across Wyoming [VIDEO]

A strong cold front is expected to make for hazardous travel conditions statewide through Monday, according to K2 Radio Meteorologist Don Day of DayWeather, Inc.

All three Wyoming interstate highways will likely see high impacts, beginning with I-90 through Sunday evening, followed by I-25 and I-80 affected Sunday night through early Monday.

Day says snow will develop during the day Sunday across the Wyoming-Montana border area stretching south along I-90. By midnight, snow will extend further south including the Jackson area, Lander, Casper, Douglas and Lusk.

By sunrise Monday, snow will have spread into south-central, southeastern and the rest of eastern Wyoming.

Strong winds, areas of blowing snow and icy conditions are expected along I-90  and I-25 north of Casper through Sunday evening. Then overnight and through the morning hours of Monday, I-25 south from Midwest to the Colorado border will also see those conditions, as will I-80 between Rock Springs and the Nebraska state line.

"Snowfall amounts are generally going to be light, but the rapid drop in temperatures, strong winds and falling snow will cause hazardous driving conditions statewide," Day concludes.
