The Kelly Walsh Trojans put on a dominant defensive performance and gave the previously undefeated Cheyenne East Thunderbirds their first loss on Thursday night in Casper.

The Trojans opened the game with a 13-0 run and pounded the Thunderbirds with their crushing 2-3 defense.

6 foot 6 center Beecher Strube blocked a ton of shots including one three point attempt, which was swatted into the cheap seats.

6 foot 4 forward Ethan Applegate lead all scoring with 16 points despite getting into a bit of foul trouble early.

Coach Randy Roden wasn't sure how his Trojan squad would play following the winter break, but it was obvious his players came to play against the T-birds.

The Kelly Walsh Trojans hand the Cheyenne East Thunderbirds their first lost of the season, by a final score 51-34.
