Motorists Need to be Aware of Bryan Stock, Metro Road Repairs

Motorists need to pay close attention while traveling on Bryan Stock Trail and Metro Road during the next few months as construction will slow traffic, according to a news release from the City of Casper.

Major improvements to the two roads began last week and will include water main replacements and surface repairs.

Project Engineer Ethan Yonker said motorists can expect to encounter rough roads, reduced speed limits, and detours during the project as well as delays from a single lane of traffic.

The public still will be able to access the Casper Regional Solid Waste Facility, Metro Animal Control, Stuckenhoff Shooters Club, and other city facilities on Metro Road.

Optional One-cent Sales revenues are paying for this infrastructure project, City Manager Carter Napier said.

Residents said on a survey and at public forums they ranked public safety, streets, and water as the top priorities for Optional One-cent Sales Tax revenues.

The project is scheduled to be completed by Sept. 13.
