E.J. Singler scored 14 points and Oregon overcame a slow start to beat No. 4 Arizona 70-66 on, handing the Wildcats their first loss of the season.

Dominic Artis, Carlos Emory and Tony Woods had 10 points apiece for the 13-2 Ducks, who have won 17 straight home games, including all 11 this season.

Mark Lyons scored 21 and Solomon Hill added 16 points to lead the Wildcats who entered as one of three undefeated teams in the country after 14 straight wins.

It appeared they were going to stay that way when the Wildcats jumped out to an 11-0 lead. But the Ducks outscored Arizona 41-19 the rest of the first half to lead by 11 at halftime.

The Wildcats got as close as four points with 1:18 but couldn't complete the comeback.

— Kelly Olynyk scored 31 points as No. 9 Gonzaga held off Saint Mary's 83-78 in the latest edition of one of the best rivalries on the West Coast. The 16-1 Bulldogs won their seventh straight with the help of 22 points from Kevin Pangos. Gonzaga led by 20 early in the second half but had to stave off a furious rally by the Gaels to wrap up the win.

— Branden Dawson scored a career-high 17 points, including a late steal and tiebreaking dunk that helped No. 22 Michigan State hold off Iowa 62-59. Gary Harris had 14 points for the Spartans, who hung on late for their eighth win in nine games.

Anthony Clemmons missed a free throw that would have tied it with 12 seconds to go and air-balled a 3-pointer at the buzzer as Iowa (11-5, 0-3) lost its third straight.
