The Philadelphia Phillies beat the Colorado Rockies 8-6 at Coors Field Wednesday afternoon. Pitcher Roy Hallady won his 14th game of the year. Ryan Howard was once again the offense for the Phillies, driving in four runs. Philadelphia (71-39) has won six in a row and seven of their last ten games. The Rockies (51-60) have lost four straight. The Rockies once dominate at home are three games under .500 at 26-29. Colorado opens up a four game series at home with the Washington Nationals tonight at Coors Field.

The Casper Ghosts keep on winning here in the second half of the season, winning their fourth straight last night 7-0 over Ogden at Mike Lansing Field. Ghosts starting pitcher Raul Fernadez went six innings and gave up just one hit and struck out seven. Robert de la Cruz banged out a couple of doubles. The Ghosts have won five straight overall. The series continues tonight at 7:05pm on AM 1400 ESPN. Other games in the Pioneer  League Wednesday night had, Great Falls-5 Helena-2, Missoula-6 Billings-2 and Orem-9 Idaho Falls-5.

The Wyoming Cowgirls Basketball program got a verbal commitment from Marquell Dent, daughter of former U-W guard Sen Dent who played on those great Cowboy teams from 1984-88 that went to two NCAA Tournaments and the NIT Championship game. Dent will be a senior in high school at Regis in Denver. She averaged 10 points a game last season. Dent recieved interest from several Division I schools.
