The Colorado Rockies lost a tough one to the Philadelphia Phillies 7-6 on Wednesday night. The Phillies with 2 runs in the bottom of the 9th to win that one, the last Phillie run was on a routine grounder to shortstop Marco Scuturo, but his throw pulled Todd Helton off the bag allowing the runner to be safe at first.

The winning run then scored from 3rd. The Rockies have lost 12 of 13 and will be in Philadelphia again tonight. Meanwhile all-star shortstop Troy Tulowitski will have surgery to repair that groin injury that put him on the disabled list at the end of May. With recovery time, Tulowitski may not be able to rejoin the Rockies until August.

The Casper Cutthroats remain unbeaten at home with a win over the Loveland Blue Jays 8-6 Wednesday night at Mike Lansing Field. The Cutthroats scored 5 runs in the 5th inning for the winning margin. Brett Coffman and Austin Rue each drove in 2 runs and pitcher Joey Hendricks threw 6 and a third innings and gave up 3 runs. The Cutthroats will host Laramie Friday night. Tonight in American Legion baseball, the Casper Oilers will host Douglas at 6pm at Lansing Field.

The NBA Finals moves into game 5 tonight as the Miami Heat host the Oklahoma City Thunder. The Heat lead 3-games to one as Lebron James can pick up his first championship. No Team has ever come back from a 3-1 deficit to win the championship.

The Wyoming State High Rodeo Finals begin today in Douglas at the State Fairgrounds. 250 athletes from around the state , plus Colorado and Nebraska will compete. Sunday's finals are scheduled to start  11am. The top 4 finishers in each event move on to the National High School Finals Rodeo in Rock Springs next month.
