UNDATED (AP) — Jonathan Ericsson took advantage of the Kings' inability to clear the puck and scored an unassisted goal with 5 seconds left in regulation to lift Detroit past visiting Los Angeles 3-2.

It happened less than a minute after the Kings knotted the score at 2-2 with an Alec Martinez goal.

The Stanley Cup champion Kings have won just one of their last five games and are to a 3-5-2 start. The Red Wings improve to 7-4-1 with their first three-game winning streak of the season.

In other NHL action:

— Marcus Kruger and Jonathan Toews (tayvz) each scored 66 seconds apart in the second period, and the Chicago Blackhawks remained the NHL's lone undefeated team in regulation by beating the Nashville Predators 3-0. The Blackhawks are 8-0-2.

— Ilya Kovalchuk (EEL'-yah KOH'-vul-chook) and David Clarkson scored less than two minutes apart in the second period as the New Jersey Devils beat the Pittsburgh Penguins 3-1 on Sunday night for their season-high fifth straight win.

— Patrice Bergeron (pah-TREES' BEHR'-zhehr-ahn) scored the go-ahead goal on a third-period power play in leading the hot-starting Boston Bruins to a 3-1 win over the Buffalo Sabres. The Bruins are 8-1-1 on the NHL campaign.

__Carl Hagelin had two goals and an assist, and Henrik Lundqvist made 19 saves in the New York Rangers' 5-1 victory over Tampa Bay. That's the Lightning's fourth straight loss.

— Magnus Paajarvi (pee-yah-YAR'-vee) scored a go-ahead short-handed goal with 3:10 remaining and Devan Dubnyk (DOOB'-nihk) made 39 saves as the Edmonton Oilers snapped a five-game losing streak with a 3-1 win over the Blue Jackets.
