The Colorado Rockies have now won 6 of their last 8 games as they beat the New York Mets 8-6 Monday night. The Rockies got the win over Mets ace R.A. Dickey who was looking for his 16th win of the season.Tyler Colvin hit a 5th inning home run which was his first in 105 at bats. Rafael Betencourt earned his 24th save of the year. Rockies and Mets play game 2 of that series tonight.

The Wyoming Cowboys lost a running back last week and then got him back. Sophomore Kody Sutton has reconsidered his decision to leave school and is now back with the team. Sutton cited family issues as the reason for withdrawing but apparently settled those issues and is now back in uniform. Sutton's return certainly helps with the depth at that running back spot and Head Coach Dave Christensen says that Sutton will be number 4 on the depth chart and will have to work  his way up. The Cowboys will have a light scrimmage coming up tomorrow in Laramie. The Pokes open up the season on Saturday Sept. 1st at Texas.
