The Colorado Rockies lost to the Philadelphia Phillies 4-3 in 10-innings Monday night at Coors Field. The Phillies scored twice in the ninth and one in the tenth for the win.

The Rockies had a two run lead in the ninth but John Mayberry Jr. with a two-run homer to tie it at three with two out. Then Shane Victorino homered in the top of the tenth to give the Phillies for good. For Philadelphia, it's the 29th time this season, they have come from behind to win a game. Game two tonight in Denver.

The Casper Ghosts have won their first two games in the second half of the season. The Ghosts opened up a two game series  at Idaho Falls, defeating the Chukars 4-2 Monday night. Francisco Sosa went 2 for 4 with an RBI. Sam Mende, Harold Riggins and Rosell Herrera also driving in runs. Ghosts pitcher Alex Gillingham picked up the win going  5 2/3 innings allowing two runs and seven hits. Gillingham struck out four Chukar batters. The two teams will play tonight at 7:05pm on AM 1400 ESPN.

New University of Wyoming Men's Basketball Coach Larry Shyatt has signed 6-2 guard Shakir Smith from Tuscon, Arizona. Smith averaged 24 points a game his senior season this past year. He also played for an AAU team in Compton, California this summer.
