The Colorado Rockies picked up a win over Miami 3-2 on Sunday afternoon to gain a split with the Marlins at Coors Field. Former Casper player Jordan Pacheco led the Rockies hitting attack with three hits including a home run.

The Rockies pitching staff finally got a handle on Marlin's slugger Giancarlo Stanton who did not homer in Sunday's game, but did homer in the three previous games of the series. The Rockies are on the road to begin a series with the New York Mets starting tonight.

Over the weekend the Wyoming Cowboy football team went through a long scrimmage in Laramie leading up to that season opener against Texas on September 1st in Austin. The Pokes will scrimmage again on Wednesday.
