Sheridan Men, Gillette Women Win Ropin’ and Riggin’ Days

The 62nd annual Casper College Roping' and Riggin Days is in the books with the Sheridan College men and the Gillette College women taking the team titles. Sheridan had one individual champion and that was Hunter Carlson in the bareback. The University of Wyoming had 2 champions. Jacob Smith in the bull riding along with Kolt Fergeuson in the saddle bronc. LCCC;s Gage Greer was first in the steer wrestling with Bryer Wadhams and Trevor Schaufer of Eastern Wyoming winning the team roping. The Casper College men's team took 6th.
On the ladies side, Gillette College's Quincy Segelke had a strong rodeo by winning the breakaway roping and the all around. Lacey Camp of Casper College helped her team to a 2nd place finish that's to placing 2nd in the breakaway, 5th in the barrel racing and 2nd in the all round. Gillette's Rickie Engesser captured the title in the goat tying. The University of Wyoming will host the final Central Rocky Mountain event this weekend in Laramie.
