Laramie High school alum Stuart Brinkman will take the reins of the Plainsmen wrestling program, replacing Mikah Cadera who will is the new head coach of Thunder Basin in Gillette. Brinkman won two, 4A State Championships in 2005 and 2004, wrestling at 119 and 135 pounds respectively.

Brinkman has been a familiar face in the Laramie wrestling room. He has been an assistant with the program for the last 8 seasons. This past season, Laramie finished 8th at the 4A state tournament with two state champions, Kaden Schriner at 145 pounds and Carless Looney at 195 pounds
