T-Bird Men Pick Up Region IX Win Over Western Nebraska Tuesday Night

The Casper College men beat Western Nebraska 77-71 at Swede Erickson Gym on Tuesday night. After trailing at halftime 39-37, the T-Birds outscored the Cougars 40-32 to the secure the Region IX win.

Brandon Walton led the T-Birds (14-6) with 19 points. Demetrius Lee and Ty Larson had 12 points each. The Cougars (9-9) were paced by Hauns Brereton with 23 points and 10 rebounds. Mike Peltz with 13 and Preston Eaton with 11 for the Cougars. The game was not the best for either team with 50 total fouls called and 49 turnovers combined. The T-Birds play host to Gillette College on Friday night at 7;30 pm. The next game coverage of T-Bird basketball on AM 1400 ESPN will be on Saturday January 29th when the host Eastern Wyoming College for Homecoming. The Women's game at 3:00 (pregame show-2:45 pm) followed by the men at 5:00 pm.
