The Casper College men's basketball team saw their season come to an end Monday night in the Region-IX Tournament at home, and the Lady T-Birds won their first game in the regionals in Scottsbluff, Nebraska. The T-Bird men lost to Northwest College of Powell 80-74. The Birds got 21 points from Dominique Lee and 20 from Corey Spence but were only 15 of 26 from the free throw line. Northwest shot 69 percent from the field including a remarkable 16 of 17 from the field in the second half. The Trapper won the game despite committing 33 turnovers. The Region-IX men's semifinals at Erickson Gym tonight has Northwest taking on defending champion Otero in the second semifinal. The first semifinal has Northeastern Junior College of Sterling, Colorado and North Platte, Nebraska. Championship game is slated for Wednesday night.

The Casper College women have moved into the Region-IX quarterfinals with a 46-37 win over Lamar, Colorado Monday night in Scottsbluff, Nebraska. The Lady T-Birds who came into the tournament as the 4th seed will take on host Western Nebraska tonight. The Lady Cougars have beaten the T-Birds twice during the regular season. Tonight's game is slated for 7:00pm on AM 1400 ESPN with Marcus Hayden and Chris Crossen.
