T-Birds Fall In Region-IX Final 73-70

The Casper College T-Birds lost to Otero, Colorado  73-70 in the Region-IX Men's Basketball Championship game in Scottsbluff, Nebraska on Tuesday night. The Birds were looking for their first regional title since 1996.Otero with a lay-up in the last 10 seconds was the margin of victory, beating a T-Bird press on the inbounds pass. At one point in the game, Casper trailed by as many as 14-points, but got back into the game with a 13-0 run. The Birds who finished the season at 25-9 were led in scoring by Coby Eskew and Jerold Brooks each with 19 points.
