The Wyoming Cowgirls pulled away in the second half for a 75-61 victory over the Drake Bulldogs Tuesday night in Laramie.

Four Cowgirls finished in double figures led by 16 points apiece for Liv Roberts and Marta Gomez. Roberts also grabbed a team-high nine rebounds. Taylor Rusk scored a career-high 15 points on five 3-pointers. She also snagged three steals. Sladjana Rakovic added 10 points off the bench.

Wyoming (4-0) used a 16-4 run in the third quarter to take control. The Cowgirls led 36-31 at halftime. After Drake scored the first basket of the second half, Rusk and Roberts hit back-to-back three’s to key the spurt that led to a 52-37 advantage. Another UW 16-4 run opened up a 68-45 lead, and the Cowgirls cruised from there.

Wyoming was especially good from distance, as they knocked down a season-high 14 three-pointers and shot 44 percent beyond the arc. The Cowgirls hit 45 percent from the field. They held a 32-28 edge on the glass and finished with 18 assists on their 27 field goals.

Drake (3-2) was led by Becca Hittner with 17 points. The Bulldogs shot 50 percent from the field. After Drake made six 3-pointers in the first half, they went 0-8 in the second half.

The Cowgirls head to Orlando, FL for the UCF Thanksgiving Classic. Wyoming will face Northern Iowa at 10 a.m. Saturday and IUPUI Sunday at 9 a.m., Mountain Time.
