Two Cowgirls Showcase Academic Prowess
Wyoming Cowgirls golfers Kathleen Kershisnik and Emily Woodard have been named All-American Scholars by the Women’s Golf Coaches Association (WGCA).
The announcement came today, and it is the first time since 2008 that multiple Cowgirls have been honored.
Kershisnik is a sophomore and earned the award for a second straight year. She maintains a 3.76 GPA and majors in kinesiology.
Woodard is a red-shirt sophomore who maintains a 3.69 GPA in chemistry. She was the top finisher for the Cowgirls at the Mountain West Championships in April, when she ended up 14th.
They were two out of a total of 664 to be recognized for this prestigious honor.
