The Wyoming Cowboy wrestling program received some horrible news as one of their prized recruits was seriously hurt in an automobile accident in Nebraska on Sunday. Doyle Trout was hurt after he ran into a power pole outside of Waco, Nebraska.

His injuries forced doctors to amputate his left leg above the knee but UW will still honor his scholarship. Trout was a 4 time state champion in Nebraska and finished this past season with a record of 50-2. He pinned 4 of his opponents in the state tournament and was ranked 11th in the nation by USA wrestling. UW Head Coach Mark Branch visited Trout and his family on Sunday in Lincoln. A Go Fund Me account has been set up at www.gofundme.com/r5ehms
