A 31-year-old Cheyenne transient wanted for skipping court after sinking her teeth into a deputy's arm is now in custody.

According to arrest records, Cheyenne police arrested Theresa Griego near the intersection of W. Lincolnway and O'Neil Avenue around 5:15 p.m. Tuesday.

Griego was being sought on a felony failure to appear warrant stemming from a September 2017 incident in which she bit an arresting officer.

Sheriff's spokesman Lt. Don Hollingshead says the bite was so severe, the deputy had to go to the hospital to have it checked out.

Hollingshead says Griego also had a small amount of meth on her at the time.

Griego is being held without bond. She does not yet have a court date.
