The start of the college football season is finally here. The Wyoming Cowboys open with a game at Iowa Saturday, Sept. 2.

This game will mark the third-ever meeting between the two schools on the football field, but it’s the first since the 1987 Holiday Bowl. That was won by Iowa, 20-19, in San Diego. The first meeting goes all the way back to 1953 in Iowa City, and that was a 21-7 victory for the Hawkeyes.

Monday was also the first weekly media press conference for Wyoming head coach Craig Bohl and junior quarterback Josh Allen. It was a chance to catch up with players and coaches after the conclusion of Fall Camp and preview the upcoming game at Iowa.

Kick-off is Saturday at 10 a.m., Mountain Time.
