The Casper Oilers came away with a 7-6 win over Jackson on Sunday in the Mike Devereaux Tournament. Delane Doyle had 3 hits for the Oilers who scored 5 runs in the 6th inning to gain the win.

The Oilers split their 2 games in the tournament and will be in Rapid City on Wednesday.

The Casper Cutthroats lost to Cheyenne on the road on Sunday 11-6. The Cutthroats now 18-15 on the season and play in Cheyenne again tonight.

The Colorado Rockies lost to Philadelphia 5-1 Sunday in Denver. Phillies' pitcher Cole Hamels threw 8 innings of one run ball to improve to 11-4 on the year. Rockies starter Drew Pomeranz went 5 innings and gave up 5 runs to drop to 1-4.

The PRCA Rodeo in Casper wrapped up on Saturday night before a capacity crowd at the Central Wyoming Fairgrounds. A lot of the world's top 15 competitors were in town for the rodeo during the course of the week. including 9 time world all-around champion Trevor Brazile of Texas. Brazile took 3rd in the tie down roping, but did not score in the finals of the team roping.

And the National High School Rodeo Finals are underway in Rock Springs. That rodeo will run through Saturday at the Sweetwater County Events Complex.
